FAQ for Please Help Me
I'm not as desperate as some other people,
can you still help me?
If you feel like you need help and you are
willing to work for the help you get, then of course we will
help you. We recognize that people need help in different ways
and different situations. Some people have to lose their homes
to want to get help but some people only need to miss just one
payment to realize that they need help. Whatever your situation
is, as long as you genuinely want help and are willing to work
for the help you get, then we will be happy to help you.
I need help but there are others who need
help more so should I ask for help?
This is very nice and noble of you to want
the resources to go towards those who most need help. However,
our community help model is based on us helping you to help
yourself so in our program, you will be working to help
yourself out of your financial situation while those who are
less fortunate work to get themselves out of their financial
situation. If you need help and are willing to help yourself,
you should not compare your situation to others. If there are
people in more dire situation than you, it does not mean you
should wait till you are in dire need of help to speak out.
Should I ask for money?
You can ask for anything you want. However,
if you don't need something then it's better not to ask for it
because the consequences of asking for something you don't even
need may be greater than you want to deal with. If you need
money, then you can ask for money but you shouldn't expect to
be given money. Sometimes help comes in the form of gift, food,
goods, or volunteer times. You should be grateful for
whatever others would want to help you with. If you only want
money and nothing else and are not going to be happy receiving
food or used items you need, may be this organization is
not for you.
